Elematic as employer
Colorful people and cultures
My name is Ari. I am Master Builder by education and have worked at Elematic as Export Manager since 1986.
Best in my work is meeting people from different cultures, which I have done! Since 1975 I have travelled for work in most curious places starting from the Arabic countries, moving to Far East, Japan, China all the way to Australia, Russia and so on. I have also worked abroad in Korea and Hong Kong for over 10 years for Elematic.
Selling precast technology is a challenging and interesting task. Building needs and culture from country to country vary greatly. Negotiating over Chinese tee or Russian cuisine is like "day and night" - and you can never know if it takes days, weeks or months before shaking hands for a completed deal. This spices up my every day work and keeps it fresh and also keeps me going.
The people I meet represent all the stages in company hierarchy. First contact is often a production manager or technical manager. Step by step, the successful negotiations bring me and the local culture interpreter, Elematic's local representative higher and higher, all the way to the top management.
Teaming up with all experts from planning and designing to offering, accounting, other sales people, marketing and communication and customer service makes working at Elematic rewarding with the great feeling of "we are doing it together".

Every day is different
My name is Maija. I have a M.Sc. degree in civil engineering and work at Elematic as Project Manager in projects to Russia. Altogether I have 10 years' experience in managing international projects.
The best about my work are the very interesting projects, international environment, skilled and devoted team, pleasant colleagues and the joy of succeeding! As project manager I get to take advantage of my ability to organize things. A project manager must have both technical and negotiation skills. He or she must be systematic and sometimes tough. Communicating with different kinds of people from various cultures, and finding out the key issues is often a challenge.
I am the first contact and responsible for the client throughout the whole project. My companion from the client's side is often the chief engineer or technical director. We carry out the whole project together, from technical solutions and deliveries to machinery installation.
At Elematic I can enjoy working with almost the whole organization! Sales, designers, purchase, machine manufacturing, deliveries, invoicing, marketing etc... each area has expertise to be used for the client's best!

Moving around
My name is Kimmo. Since completing my B.Sc. on engineering studies I have worked for internationally operating companies as project and sales engineer. Before joining Elematic in 2004 as project engineer, I worked a couple of years in Germany. I took care of complete plant deliveries for four years to various countries, mainly to Far East Asia, China and Middle East. In September 2008 I changed from projects to sales, being now Elematic's Export Manager for Saudi-Arabia.
Best in my work is the work itself - its large variety of new people and cultures and challengies within. Naturally the good machines, solutions and services the one-stop-supplier Elematic offers to its clients and excellent colleagues make workdays pleasant, a comfortable entity!
As sales man I get to "invent" brilliant solutions to make the customer's "money go around to give them good profit". In this job verbal skills as such and speaking many languages is essential. Of course building with concrete needs to be managed as well as technical solutions and references in precast concrete.
Being responsible on the Saudi-Arabian market, I am in daily contact with the Saudis and the immigrants in the country. Most people in my sales area speak good English, so communicating with them is easy. A typical client is a person well aware of local construcion market, expanding his business to this field. Getting a best quality factory for the highest quality end products that can be sold and delivered to builders safely and economically is what my client wants - and I am sure that is what we, Elematic can give to him.

Cross cultural quoting - widely
I am Toni, a quotation engineer at Elematic. I have a B.Sc degree in mechanical engineering and I joined the company directly after graduating as Mechanigal Designer in 2002 . In September 2008 I started working at the Quotation department. The previous holder of this position took on new challenges at Elematic as Sales Engineer. There is always an opportunity for development.
Elematic is working worldwide and quotations are made and negotiated in "almost any language" on all continents. In this job I get to utilize not only all fields of the engineering studies, but also communication as well as language skills. Not forgetting innovativeness! As quotation engineer I work closely with people from sales-, design-, and engineering department and with other quotation engineers. Direct communication with and visiting the customers as technical adviser are part of this cross-cultural job.
Working at Elematic is rewarding and fruitful, thanks to easy-going colleagues, comfortable, well equipped work environment and varying, versatile duties.
